Patients have a choice as to which doctor they wish to see. However, you are encouraged to see the same doctor each time you visit, as this will help the doctor gain a deeper understanding of any general problems you may have.

Appointments - From the 3rd February 2014 a new appointment system will be in place.

From this date, when you call the surgery to request an appointment with the doctor, the receptionist will ask you some brief details of the problem, which they will pass on to a doctor, who will then call you back. During the telephone consultation the doctor may give you advice, prescribe treatment, arrange a referral to another clinician or service, or if required, offer you an appointment at a time appropriate to the clinical assessment.

You can also book appointments online via the SystmOnline service. For more information please see here.

Note - Available appointment times are shown on the left.

Telephone Advice - A telephone advice surgery is held every day. It may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone, and if so, you will be asked to call back to speak to a doctor or nurse after the morning surgery.

Home Visits During The Day - Can be requested for patients who are genuinely unable to attend the surgery through illness, e.g. emergencies, elderly housebound patients or terminally ill patients. The doctor will assess the request and may telephone you regarding the problem. When making a request the following details will be required :

  • Full name of the patient for whom the call is being made
  • Age and data of birth of the patient
  • Full address to which the doctor will be visiting
  • Telephone number
  • Brief details of the patients condition
